Hey! It’s nice to meet you.

This is me.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has had experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various settings for the last several years.

But let’s get a bit more personal — I was raised in the beautiful city of Shiraz in Iran and immigrated to California from there when I was in my tweens. Partly because of this, I am able to have deep empathy for people experiencing migration and the traumas that come with it. Because my experiences have been transnational, I speak multiple languages including English, Persian (Farsi) and Spanish. This enables me to connect with others in different languages.

There are several places that hold a special place in my heart and one of those is Mexico City, where I worked as an English teacher for children. During that time, I realized the importance of integrating mental health awareness in education and changed my trajectory in life to become a therapist.

As a person of Southwest Asian background, I am dedicated to uplifting our communities both here in diaspora and back home. I am a fierce advocate for the liberation of Palestine, Sudan and all other places throughout the world that are experiencing the brunt forces of imperialism.

In my workshops, I aspire to create safer, nurturing and collaborative spaces where every participant can show up as their authentic self, learn from one another and grow.
